Dr. Sean Karimi - RxWellness

Dr. Afshin Karimi, also known as Dr. Sean, is the Clinic Director at RxWellness Spine & Health in Vienna, Virginia. He was born and raised in Texas before attending The University of Texas at Arlington where he earned his Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. He then pursued his Doctorate of Chiropractic and attended Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Sean has always loved playing sports and being active. He grew up playing tennis, racquetball, and soccer, as well as obtaining his black belt in karate.   

Dr. Sean fell in love with chiropractic care at a young age, when he was first introduced to how it could heal the body naturally. He had his first visit to a chiropractic clinic for a sports injury that happened while he was playing tennis. Once he realized how quickly and effectively he could heal after just a few treatments, he knew that he wanted to be able to help people to do the same. This, among other reasons, is why he chose chiropractic. 

Patients say that Dr. Sean is meant to do this work, because he’s kind, attentive, and a caring doctor when it comes to treatment. His biggest strength is his ability to show empathy and compassion at every single session. Dr. Sean loves getting to know his patients, learning about their backgrounds, and understanding the different types of treatment they respond well to. 

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working out, meditating, and being in nature. He continues to stay super active by hiking and biking. Some people would even say he’s a man of many talents, as he enjoys fixing persian carpets as a hobby. 

Dr. Sean is Board Certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in Chiropractic and Physiotherapy and licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine. He is specialized and experienced with treating athletes of all ages, individuals with chronic pain, patients who have been in auto accidents, families, and young children. He is also certified in dry needling.
